XCEED started long before any “ribbon cutting” or “groundbreaking.” Its origins trace back to a simple passing thought—one that surfaced during long clinic days, challenging patient cases, and moments when I found myself asking, “What would care look like if I could build it from the ground up?”
That passing thought slowly took shape. It evolved from a fleeting idea into a dream that I revisited constantly: while treating patients, while researching, and while imagining the kind of impact I wanted to make in my career. Conversations followed. Each conversation brought more clarity. Each experience added another layer. And eventually, the dream was no longer something far off. It became actionable and achievable.
When the opportunity presented itself to turn that dream into something tangible, I ran with it.
XCEED was born out of moments in clinical practice where I saw—not just in theory, but in lived experience—the profound value of one-on-one patient care. Across high-level sports settings, traditional outpatient clinics, and collaborative medical environments, I noticed a universal truth: when patients feel truly seen, heard, and understood, their outcomes change. Their motivation changes. Their confidence grows. Trust becomes the foundation, and progress follows naturally.
Trust becomes the foundation, and progress follows naturally.
I also saw the limitations of high-volume systems and the barriers they create. I witnessed patients who needed more time, more explanation, more tailored progression than the system allowed. I met athletes who were ready for higher-level programming but simply were not offered it. And I worked with individuals whose stories and symptoms were more complex than what a 30-minute model could accommodate.
These experiences reinforced what I believed all along:
Physical therapy should be individualized, collaborative, and deeply human.
XCEED was founded to honor that belief. It is built on the principle that every patient deserves high-quality, intentional, and personalized treatment—grounded in empathy, evidence-based practice, and long-term partnership. It reflects my perspective as a physical therapist who values the art of understanding the whole person, not just a diagnosis. XCEED represents more than a clinic. It represents a commitment: to exceed baselines, elevate performance, and reimagine what rehabilitation can look like when care is truly centered on the individual.
And this is where patients begin to exceed what they once believed possible.
This is where the dream becomes the work.

WHY ARE WE DIFFERENT
XCEED Physical Therapy is different because of the perspective and depth of experience behind the care. Lauren has worked across a range of clinical environments, gaining the ability to adapt treatment to many different needs, ages, levels of health literacy, performance levels, and movement backgrounds.
Her foundation in neuroscience and active mild traumatic brain injury research inform a thoughtful and evidence-based approach to rehabilitation. As a former athlete, she understands the physical and psychological components of recovery and performance.
Her care prioritizes empathy, collaboration, and education, allowing each patient to feel supported, understood, and equipped to progress with confidence. The goal is not only to help individuals return to their baseline, but to exceed it and maintain it.
